Islamabad (September 18, 2017): An anti-polio campaign was kicked off in different parts of the country on Monday mourning to vaccinate children below five years of age against the crippling disease.
In Punjab, four-day anti polio campaign was started in Sarghoda, Multan, Lodhran, Vehari Khanewal, Hafizabad, Bahawalpur, Bahawal-nagar and Rajanpur districts this morning.
During the campaign, children below the age of five year will be administered anti-polio drops.
In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and FATA, a three-year campaign was lunched during which over six point six million children will be vaccinated against the crippling disease.
In Balochistan, more than 2.4 million children less than the age of five years will be administered anti-polio drops.
In Gilgit Baltistan, over two hundred forty three thousand children will be administered anti polio drops during the campaign.
In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, total of 7,48,948 children will be administered anti polio and Vitamin A drops.
Strict security arrangements are being made to avoid any untoward incident.
