A fire, attributed to negligence, at ordnance depot in Indian state of Maharashtra killed 20 troops including two officers and injured 20 Indian soldiers. People in many villages nearby were vacated and shifted to safe place.
The ordnance depot at Pulgown is the biggest arms depot of India.
According to sources loud blasts were heard after the fire. Rescue workers have not been able to pull the bodies even after hours due to intensity of heat.
The fire brigades brought the fire under control after hours of efforts.
