11 militants killed in Balochistan operations under Raddul Fitna 3: sources

ISLAMABAD: Security forces have killed 11 militants in separate operations carried out across Balochistan as part of Operation Raddul Fitna 3, security sources said on Saturday.

The first operation was conducted in the Gowargo area of Panjgur, where five terrorists were killed during an exchange of fire. Security personnel also seized a substantial quantity of weapons and ammunition from the militants, the sources said.

In separate actions in Chagai district, security forces targeted terrorist positions in Ameenabad and Siah Chang.

Six more terrorists were killed during the operations in the two areas, according to the sources.

The latest operations come amid continued militant violence in Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, where security incidents have increased since 2021 following the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan.

Data compiled by the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) showed that KP and Balochistan remained the country’s principal centres of violence during the second quarter of 2026.

The report recorded 475 violence-related deaths in KP, accounting for more than 61% of the national total, while Balochistan registered 265 fatalities, or around 34%.

Together, the two provinces accounted for almost 96% of all violence-related deaths reported across the country during the quarter.

KP also reported 151 violent incidents, making up 57% of the national tally. Balochistan recorded 94 incidents, equivalent to 35%, according to the CRSS report.
