The National Assembly has approved to form parliamentary committee for drafting TORs on Panama Leaks probe whereas Jamaat-e-Islami has expressed reservations over increase in number of committee members.
Speaker National Assembly, Ayaz Sadiq has been presiding the session. During the session, federal minister Zahid Hamid has tabled the motion to setting up the parliamentary committee in order to draft the TORs for probe on Panama leaks which has been approved.
However, Zahid Hamid told the Parliament that 16-members of both Houses would be included in Parliamentary committee, in which eight members each shall be taken from government and opposition, whereas parliamentary committee would produce the report within 15 days by making TORs on Panama Papers, offshore companies, funds transferring, kickbacks and loans waiver.
JI’s Sahibzada Tariqullah said that we have been taken the signature on six names each but, here what motion has presented under which eight members will be on which, Speaker has said that he had talked leader of opposition and government for increasing the names of members meanwhile Shah Mehmood Qureshi said while demanding withdrawal of motion as it was decided about six members each yesterday thus, this motion should be taken back and to have brought new one.
