PCB likely to remove Azhar Ali from captaincy

After humiliating defeat of Pakistan by England in third ODI,  Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) may dismiss Azhar Ali from leadership.

PCB endurance  has overflowed and in this regard Azhar Ali is likely to dismiss promptly from leadership while senior cricketers Muhammad Hafeez, Shoaib Malik and Umar Gul are likely fire as consideration is under way. Azhar has just scored 95 in three matches whereas  he made 13 runs off  19 in third ODI. Being a skipper  he has lost 15 and only won 8 in 24 ODI matches.

The leadership of Pakistan for fourth ODI which is to be played at  Headingley Leeds on Friday  against England may handover to wicket-keeper Sarfraz Ahmed. Pakistan team  needs to improve ODI ranking in order to direct access in World Cup 2019, but  after loss of 3-0 in  ODI series from England and present  at 9th position Pakistan’s  points difference further  increased from 8th position West Indies.
