ISLAMABAD: Attorney General of Pakistan Mansoor Awan informed the Supreme Court that three senior military officers were compulsorily retired without pension or benefits for negligence related to the Jinnah House attack.

A seven-member constitutional bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan, heard the case on the legality of trying civilians in military courts. During the proceedings, Attorney General Mansoor Awan presented his arguments.

He told the court that departmental action was taken by the military due to negligence in the Jinnah House attack, resulting in the retirement of three senior officers without any pension or post-retirement benefits.

The officers retired without pension include a Lieutenant General, a Brigadier, and a Lieutenant Colonel.
