Islamabad: A judicial Commission Meeting in chair of Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi will be held today which has been called for the appointment of an eight judges in the Supreme Court .
The JCM will be held at 2 pm in the SC conference room while names of senior judges from all five high courts have been called for the eight judges appointment in the SC.
On the other hand, All Pakistan Lawyers Association Committee has announced a protest on Shahra-e-Dastoor in Islamabad.
Whereas four judges of the SC have penned a letter to the CJ to postponement of the JCM meeting.
Moreover a member of the JCM Ali Zafar has also demanded for postponement of the meeting.
Extraordinary measures for security of the SC have been taken in view of the lawyers protest while police force have also been deployed with in the SC building.
Only Margala road has been opened for going to red zone.
