President Erdogan To Visit Pakistan To Co-Chair High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council

ISLAMABAD: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to visit Pakistan on Wednesday to co-chair the 7th session of the Pakistan-Turkiye High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council alongside Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, announced by the Foreign Office.


Erdogan, accompanied by a high-ranking delegation comprising ministers, senior officials, and corporate leaders, is anticipated to issue a joint declaration and sign several key agreements and memorandums of understanding during the visit, Foreign Office

The two leaders will set to present a joint press statement at the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC), the premier decision-making body aimed at enhancing bilateral relations between Pakistan and Turkiye.

A number of Joint Standing Committees (JSCs) have been established under the HLSCC, focusing on various sectors including trade, investment, banking, finance, culture, tourism, energy, defense, agriculture, transport, communication, information technology, health, science and technology, and education.

Erdogan, who is paying the visit to Pakistan on February 12 and 13 at the invitation of Sharif, will also hold bilateral meetings with the prime minister and President Asif Ali Zardari.

During his visit, Erdogan will join Sharif in addressing the Pakistan-Turkiye Business and Investment Forum, which aims to unite prominent investors, companies, and entrepreneurs from both nations. As stated by the Foreign Office, the Turkish leader’s visit is expected to strengthen the bonds of friendship and promote comprehensive cooperation between Pakistan and Turkey.
