Renowned Children’s Author Saniya Chughtai Launches New Book

Web Desk: Saniya Chughtai, a UAE-based international children’s author, has just released her latest book. The first book in her new series: “The Rise of the Energy Warriors” was introduced at the Karachi Literature Festival (KLF).

In an interview, Saniya shared that her new book beautifully portrays the stunning landscapes of Pakistan’s northern areas and captures the essence of the country’s culture.

The story combines the charm of traditional tales—like those told by grandmothers—with modern themes, creating a unique and engaging read.

Our kids love stories like ‘Harry Potter’, Percy Jackson’ & ‘Keepers of the lost City’.

Saniya said, but I felt there was a need for stories that start in Pakistan and have the potential to captivate readers worldwide.

The book follows the adventures of “Marni Khan” a 12-year-old girl who finds a letter from her mother in an old chest.

This discovery sets her off on an incredible journey through places like Hunza, Chitral, Saif-ul-Malook, and the Hindu Kush.

Along the way, she faces challenges and gains a special ability to sense people’s heartbeats, helping her determine if they are good or bad.

Beyond the adventure, the book also highlights Pakistan’s breathtaking scenery and includes traditional recipes from the regions Mani visits.

It even features a handy checklist of must-see spots in KPK, along with details about local foods, festivals, and souvenirs.

This makes the book a great read for both Pakistanis and those living abroad.

Saniya hopes her book will help children feel more connected to their roots, and she believes parents will enjoy sharing it with their kids. She also hinted that future books in the series will explore the landscapes and cultures of Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan.

Saniya Chughtai is no stranger to success. She has already published 12 books, which have been translated into Arabic, Sindhi, and Irish after their English releases. An Urdu version of her latest book is also in the works and will be out soon.
