PTI delegation present plethora of complains to CJ

Islamabad: Opposition’s main party, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said that founder chairman of party permitted us to meet with Chief Justice Yahya Afridi.

After meeting with CJ Yahya Afridi, the PTI addressed a presser.

A five-member delegation included opposition leader in the NA Omar Ayub, Chairman Barrister Gohar, Secretary General Salman Akram Raja, Ali Zafar and Baber Awan, they apprised the CJ about disrespect of the constitution in the lower courts.

The PTI leaders apprised further that they talked about letter of Imran Khan regarding May 9, 2023, November 26, 2024.

Secretary General of the party, Salman Akram Raja talked about military courts in conversation with Justice Yahya Afridi.

Salman Akram Raja informed the CJ about a matter of missing persons and apprised him about the state terrorism in Punjab. He also informed that police are being used against us in Punjab.

He also informed Justice Yahya Afridi about a matter of production orders of senators and MNAs and MPAs. He also apprised the details of threatening being given to lawyers and pointed out fake FIR registration on the lawyers.

Chairman Barrister Gohar informed that the CJ has shared a 10-point agenda over the judicial reforms. While he said that we will give our suggestions to the CJ over it.

The PTI leaders also complained to the CJ that we were not allowed to meet Imran Khan in Adyala Jail.

Founder party chairman Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi cases were also apprised to the CJ, the PTI leaders said.

Baber Awan apprised the CJ that open trials were held in the past instead of jail trials while there were the court orders existed where one person have several FIRs.
