LAHORE: The Lahore High Court has ordered that the widow be given her share of the property.
As per detail, Justice Khalid Ishtiaq of the Lahore High Court issued the verdict on the appeal filed by Sadiqaan Bibi. The court’s ruling stated that according to the woman, after her husband’s death, her brother refused to give her a share of the property. In 2011, the woman filed a claim in the trial court for a share in the property.
The ruling also mentioned that the trial court had rejected the woman’s claim in 2014, following which she appealed to the Lahore High Court against the trial court’s decision.
The High Court annulled the trial court’s decision and ordered that the widow be given her rightful share of the property.
