QUETTA: In the provincial capital of Quetta, a bomb explosion near a vehicle of the security forces’ bomb disposal squad resulted in the deaths of four security personnel and left three others injured.
According to security sources, the explosion occurred in the Margat area of Quetta, close to the bomb disposal squad vehicle.
The deceased include Subedar Shehzad Ameen, Naib Subedar Abbas, Soldier Khaleel, and Soldier Zahid, while the injured are Lance Naik Zafar, Lance Naik Farooq, and Soldier Khurram Saleem.
Immediately following the blast, a heavy contingent of security forces and rescue teams arrived at the scene.
The bodies of the deceased personnel and the injured were transported to the hospital. Security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search for the culprits, and a team from the bomb disposal squad has also been called in.
