Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has declared a just resolution of the long standing Kashmir dispute in line with UN Security Council resolutions, is inevitable for regional peace in South East Asia.
The PM on Wednesday, today, telephoned United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres.It was third contact with him in the past two weeks.
Shehbaz Sharif thanked UNSG Antonio Guterres for his leadership and intense diplomatic efforts that helped defuse the recent crisis in South Asia.
He told him that while we exercised our right to self defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter, Pakistan was committed to honouring the ceasefire understanding in the greater interest of regional peace.

The world has witnessed Pakistan’s responsible and measured actions during the past two weeks in the face of external military aggression.
We will never allow violation of our sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The premier condemned Indian false allegations and aggression and demanded him and international community to take notice of dagerous attitude of India.
He also expressed concerns on Indian leadership inflammatory statements.
He also appealed to the UN secretary general to play a role in resolving the Kashmir dispute.
UN Secretary General Antonio Gutterress welcomed the ceasefire while he also condoled the PM over loss of civilians in the Indian aggression.
Antonio Gutterress expressed determination to remain in contact with opponents for regional peace.
