Lahore Qalandars defeat Quetta, Win PSL title for the Third Time

LAHORE: In the final of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, Quetta Gladiators set a target of 202 runs for Lahore Qalandars to win.The match was played in Lahore, where Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to bat first against Lahore Qalandars.

Batting first, Quetta scored 201 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Hasan Nawaz played a brilliant innings of 76 runs off 43 balls, while Fernando scored 29 and Chandimal contributed 22 runs. Faheem Ashraf smashed a quickfire 28 runs off just 8 deliveries before getting out.

From Lahore Qalandars, Shaheen Afridi took 3 wickets, while Salman Mirza and Haris Rauf claimed 2 wickets each.

In PSL 10, the first match between these two teams was won by Qalandars by 79 runs, while the second was washed out due to rain.
In total, the two teams have faced each other 19 times in the Pakistan Super League, with each team winning 9 matches and one match ending without a result.

Fakhar Zaman is Qalandars’ most successful batter with 442 runs, while Quetta’s former captain and current team director Sarfaraz Ahmed has scored 357 runs against Lahore Qalandars.

Qalandars have now won the PSL title three times, while Quetta has lifted the trophy once.
