MALAKAND: Tremors were felt in various parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Malakand, Batkhela city and surrounding areas on Saturday.
The tremors caused panic among the local population, prompting many to evacuate buildings and gather in open spaces out of fear. As of now, no reports of injuries or property damage have been received.
Meanwhile, Karachi experienced another minor quake recently. On the same day, the Seismic Monitoring Centre recorded a magnitude 2.0 tremor in the Malir area at 7:54 AM. The quake had a depth of approximately 40 kilometers, with its epicenter located about 11 kilometers northeast of Malir.
Since June 1, a total of 29 tremors have been recorded in the region, indicating ongoing seismic activity in the area.
