People to protest on streets as all limits crossed in Sindh: Hafiz Naeem

Karachi: The Jamat-e-Islami Chief Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman has said that the people of Karachi will stage protest in the city as corruption, bad governance, incompetence have crossed limits in Sindh.

Addressing a presser at Karachi headquarter of the party Idara Nor-e-Haq, the JI Chief said that Sindh government is fully supporting tanker, dumper, trailer and truck mafia.

Engineer Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman questioned that who is responsible for deaths of more than 550 people in the road accidents.

They (Sindh government) commit exploitation from an issue and they did it same in the dumper issue two day ago, they held negotiations with the dumper mafia but arrested Karachi youth in numbers.

Sindh police took custody of youth sitting on tea shops in Karachi and were lodging terrorism cases on them, he said.


He said that on the other hand, the dumper mafia not followed any safety rules agreed upon in the talks in recent days with the Sindh government.

Hafiz Naeem said that crisis of Water, electricity, gas, roads, traffic, dirt are rampant in Karachi adding Sindh government has been ruling the province on ethnicity and promoting prejudice in the city.

He alleged that it wanted an ethnic riots in the city.

He alleged that MQM-P and PPP wanted riots between Urdu Sindhi and Pakhtuns so that they continued their politics.

He said that the MQM-P and PPP are exploiting the province albeit in Karachi and later in whole Sindh.

He questioned the PPP, who according to him shows itself champions of minority rights in the country, why Hindu businessmen of Kandhkot, Shikarpur, Kashmore, thousands in numbers are leaving the country adding only owing to robbers supported by the PPP feudal lords.

” The Sindh government has exploiting attitude both with Hindu and Muslims, he said.

He said that the Sindh government has been completely depriving the Karachi youth from the government jobs.

Wherever you go in Karachi whether Sindh secretariat, DC office, police station, traffic section, you will come to know that doors of the government jobs have been shut for people of Karachi, he said.

He questioned that didn’t Karachi a capital of SIndh, people from all across the country live here but the government jobs are not being given to Karachi youth.

He alleged that nowadays, Rs 30 million rate is fixed for appointment of Assistant Commissioner (AC) even that selected from their own circles and people of their choices.

He alleged that the Sindh government has ethnic mindset,through which they pollute the society, resulting in spread of hatred among the society.

He said that Sindh government despite that has been ruling the province for 17 years not fulfilled the city transport requirement as Karachi needs 17000 buses while only 400 buses are running in the city.

He said that the federal government allocated only Rs nearly 4 billion for mega water project of K-4 but there is a need of Rs 40 billion for early completion of the project adding that corruption is in full swing in the Solid Waste Management Board.

On the national front, Hafiz Naeem said Pakistan needed a new judicial system as the present system of judiciary has rotten and decomposed

He said that the existing government has broken the teeth of the judiciary under the 26th amendment and there is fear that they will break its gems in the upcoming 27th amendment.

He said the recent verdicts of the courts disqualifing PTI lawmakers are political and termed them the worst.

He said “Such verdicts create unrest in the society, only ruling party enjoys it.” adding that the youth are disappointed in the country.

If Imran Khan has been jailed for corruption then Zardari, Nawaz and Shehbaz should be in jail far beyond the barracks of Imran Khan, he said.

He said that as many as 110 million people have gone below the poverty line out of 250 million in the country.

He apprised that the govt itself tells that 20.6 millions children are out of schools in the country according to figures of 2021-22.

He said that the education system of the country has totally collapsed, merit is being murdered in the educational institutions.

He said that the country’s education system is the most outdated and decayed while Pakistan also needed a new education system.

He said that load-shedding is being conducted in the country despite electricity are in excess.

He started the presser condemning Israel over its worst atrocities executed on journalists as it martyred Al-Jazeera’s the most brave one Anas Sharif along with his team comprising five members including a cameraman.

He said that as many as 247 journalists have been martyred by Israel in two years of war.

He said that they will bring out a protest rally against Israel after August 14 while he urged the international community to force Israel on ceasefire.
