Dera Ghazi Khan: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz on Thursday inaugurated the Green Electric Buss Service in Dera Ghazi Khan (DG Khan).
Addressing on the occasion, the CM Punjab talking on the recent Punjab floods, said that if we ask for help from the world then why does NFC for? She said that the history’s worst flood thronged in Punjab.
Maryam Nawaz said that she is the daughter of Nawaz Sharif and will not extend his hand to any body while she said that she is not only the CM of central Punjab or South Punjab but the CM of the whole province.
She apprised that she didn’t ask any single penny form Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for an account of relief work during Punjab floods.
Regarding the bus project, she informed that women, students and senior citizens will get free transport through the environment friendly transport.
She announced that these electric buses will also be run in Layyah, Muzafargardh, Kot Adu and Rajanpur.
She informed further that a 101 electric buses are being run in DG Khan adding that she fulfilled the promise of providing the best transportation facilities to the area people.
Federal Minister for power Owais Leghari, provincial minister Bilal Akbar, provincial assembly member Mehmood Qadir Leghari were also addressed the gathering.
On the other hand, other parliamentarians were also present in the ceremony.
The guests said that the Green Bus Service commencement in DG Khan is a historic facility for the area which will not only provide modern transport but another way forward towards the environment friendly initiative.
