Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz on Saturday launched a campaign for survey of flood that recently thronged the province under the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
The CM Punjab administered oath from scores of volunteers which will estimate the losses incurred during the flood.
Addressing the ceremony, Maryam Nawaz said that those who work for humanity are the best friends of God adding that helping humanity in the difficult times tantamount to worship.
She also lauded the efforts of the volunteers extending the relief work in the flood hit areas of the province.
She said that it was a horrific flood of this decade while the province never saw such a devastating flood ever before.
She said that serving the masses of the province is my responsibility.
