Maryam Nawaz inaugurates Nawaz Sharif Cardiology Centre in Samli, Murree

During the inaugural ceremony, Maryam Nawaz announced that the new facility boasts a state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Lab and modern medical technologies. She emphasized that cardiologists and support staff will be available at the center around the clock to ensure uninterrupted care.

Maryam Nawaz noted that this renovation and upgrade of the Syed Muhammad Hussain Government Samli Hospital is the first since its establishment in 1930. To assist patients traveling from Murree to Samli Hospital, the Chief Minister also announced the provision of three dedicated buses.
Outlining broader development plans for the region, she shared that a 100-bed hospital will be established in Kotli Sattian, and a 50-bed facility will be built in Bhurban. She highlighted the successful rollout of mobile health services, including “Clinic on Wheels” and “Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics,” which are now fully operational across Murree.
On the infrastructure side, she mentioned that schools are being upgraded, and the historic Mall Road is undergoing a major rehabilitation project costing billions of rupees. To boost tourism, she announced the establishment of a dedicated tourism force under Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb aimed at promoting the local tourism industry.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister stated that wildlife parks, including Bansra Gali Park, are being restored, and a new biodiversity park will be established to preserve the region’s natural heritage. Highlighting the government’s commitment to improving transportation, she announced the launch of a train service between Rawalpindi and Murree. She also pledged the provision of fifteen new green buses to the city that will offer free travel for senior citizens, women, and persons with disabilities.
