ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have conveyed warm congratulations to the government and people of the People’s Republic of China on celebrating their 76th National Day.
In separate messages, both leaders emphasized that this occasion reflects China’s impressive journey of development, unity, and national progress. The President commended Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visionary leadership, which has propelled China to the forefront of innovation, global influence, and sustainable growth.
He expressed hope for strengthening people-to-people connections between Pakistan and China, particularly through cooperation in science, education, technology, and cultural exchanges.
The Prime Minister, in his message, acknowledged China’s significant contributions to global peace, stability, and development. He also highlighted the importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), now entering its second phase, as a key joint economic venture.
Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s pride in its brotherly ties with China and expressed optimism that both nations will continue to elevate their friendship and strategic partnership in the years ahead.
