ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar announced that Senator Mushtaq Ahmed Khan is safe at the Pakistan Embassy in Oman, where he will receive support for his repatriation.

The Foreign Office is actively working through its embassy in Amman, Jordan, to ensure the safe return of Senator Mushtaq and other Pakistanis illegally detained by Israeli forces. The spokesperson expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the Jordanian government and is hopeful for a successful resolution in the upcoming days.

Previously, the Foreign Office confirmed via diplomatic sources that Senator Mushtaq is in good condition while in Israeli custody. He will be presented in court per local legal procedures, and his return will be expedited once deportation orders are issued.

Senator Mushtaq, a member of Jamaat-e-Islami, was detained while part of the Global Samud Flotilla en route to Gaza. Ishaq Dar is coordinating with a European country to facilitate the release of all detained Pakistanis, including Senator Mushtaq.
