ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad District and Sessions Court has prolonged the pre-arrest bail of PTI leader Imran Khan and his wife, Bushra Bibi, concerning cases linked to the May 9 events and other charges.
The hearing was conducted by Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka, who considered six bail applications submitted by Imran Khan and one by Bushra Bibi. Lawyer Shamsa Kayani represented the petitioners during the proceedings.
The court issued an order preventing authorities from arresting Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in the cases until October 28, and also instructed that Imran Khan be brought to the next hearing either in person or through a video link.
Additionally, Judge Afzal Majoka issued a show-cause notice to the Adiala Jail authorities and adjourned the hearing for further deliberation on the bail petitions until the scheduled date.
It is important to note that Imran Khan faces multiple legal cases, including those related to the May 9 protests, attempted murder allegations, and the issuance of falsified receipts.
