WEB DESK: Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has reached a historic milestone by becoming the world’s first billionaire in the sport.
As per the latest Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Ronaldo’s net worth is estimated at $1.4 billion, making him the first footballer to achieve such financial success.
Ronaldo’s wealth surged notably after he signed a lucrative contract with Saudi club Al Nassr in June, reportedly worth around $400 million. This deal has played a key role in boosting his overall net worth.
According to Bloomberg, from 2002 to 2023, Ronaldo earned more than $550 million just from his playing salaries. Moreover, his long-term endorsement partnership with Nike has added a significant amount to his earnings, bringing in approximately $18 million each year.
