ISLAMABAD: In Sheikhupura on Tuesday, at least 21 school children sustained injuries when a bus veered into a roadside drain after being struck by a truck, rescue officials reported.
Rescue 1122 teams promptly arrived at the scene and initiated an immediate response. Six children received first aid at the site, while 15 others were transported to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Sheikhupura for further treatment.
Hospital sources confirmed that all the injured children are now in stable condition. Medical staff at DHQ Hospital provided the required care, while rescue teams worked to clear the damaged bus and secure the area to prevent additional incidents.
Meanwhile, local police have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
