WEB DESK: Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda was hospitalized after reportedly collapsing at his Juhu residence in Mumbai. The actor, who is 61 years old, was quickly taken to CritiCare Hospital by Lalit Bindal, his longtime legal advisor and close friend.
Bindal stated that Govinda fainted in the evening and immediately reached out to him. He escorted the actor to the hospital, where he is currently under observation and undergoing necessary tests. Doctors are closely monitoring his condition to ensure there are no further concerns.
According to Bindal, Govinda had been feeling unwell prior to collapsing. He mentioned that the actor was disoriented but is now stable. All medical tests have been completed, and the team is waiting on neuro specialists’ evaluations and recommendations for the next steps.
Upon admission, the hospital staff conducted a thorough assessment. So far, no additional complications have emerged, and the focus remains on his recovery while test results are analyzed.
This incident comes slightly over a year after Govinda faced a serious accident involving an accidental gunshot wound to his leg. That event occurred last October when his licensed revolver discharged unexpectedly as he prepared to leave for a show in Kolkata early morning.
