ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif stated on Friday that strong industrial growth is essential for achieving economic development, job creation, and higher incomes in the country.
He highlighted that facilitating ease of doing business and fostering investment remains a top priority for the government.
These remarks were made while he presided over the inaugural review meeting of the private-sector committee formed for national industrial development. During the session, the committee presented its recommendations, which the Prime Minister welcomed.
The Prime Minister underscored the significance of private sector input in driving industrial progress. He commended the business community for their diligent efforts in formulating detailed proposals and assured that these recommendations would be thoroughly reviewed for the development of an actionable implementation plan.
PM also expressed gratitude to the Pakistani business community for their support during difficult times, acknowledging their role in helping the government tackle economic challenges.
He affirmed that, by the grace of Allah, the country’s economic outlook is improving and Pakistan is progressing towards development, though continued efforts are still necessary.
