ISLAMABAD: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced on Friday that the new moon for the Islamic month of Jamadi ul Sani was not observed in Pakistan. 

Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, informed Geo News that the crescent was not sighted, and as a result, the month of Jamadi ul Sani will commence the day after tomorrow.

The committee’s meeting took place in Lahore, while the zonal committee convened in Karachi at the Pakistan Meteorological Department’s office.

Earlier, the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) had predicted that the new moon might not be visible on November 21, as its age would be approximately 30 hours and 17 minutes.
