ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has formally congratulated Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir on his historic appointment as Pakistan’s inaugural Chief of Defence Forces.
In his message, the Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes to the newly appointed leader, emphasizing that the creation of the Chief of Defence Forces position aligns with modern military strategies and enhances the country’s defense capabilities.
He praised the armed forces for their recent accomplishments, stating, “Under the command of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, our brave troops achieved a decisive victory against the adversary.”
The Prime Minister also highlighted the significance of the recent success at Marka e Haq, noting that it brought international recognition to Pakistan and strengthened the nation’s reputation.
He expressed confidence that under Munir’s leadership, Pakistan’s defense will continue to advance and adapt to contemporary security challenges.
