WEB DESK: Grimes has stated that her former partner Elon Musk blocked her on his social media platform X amid ongoing challenges with co-parenting.
The singer, whose birth name is Claire Boucher, shared this claim in response to a user questioning why she no longer follows Musk online. The ex-partners are parents to three children.
Grimes explained, “I’m just focusing on my life. He followed me and then blocked me. I have no intention of engaging in following or unfollowing. My sole focus is co-parenting, not public drama.”
The artist has previously discussed personal struggles, including earlier this year when she addressed fans about canceling a planned show in Washington, DC, due to family-related issues. At the time, she apologized, writing that she was committed to resolving the matter swiftly.
In the past, Grimes has also taken to social media to express concerns about communication difficulties with Musk regarding their children. In February, she urged him publicly to address what she described as a medical matter affecting one of their kids after failing to resolve the issue through private channels.
Musk has not made a public statement in response to Grimes’ recent comments. Neither he nor Grimes has issued further details about their co-parenting situation.
The pair shared an on-again, off-again relationship for several years before parting ways. Despite the breakup, both have previously emphasized their dedication to co-parenting their children.
