LAHORE: The Punjab Chief Minister has successfully organised a lottery for 720 newly constructed flats aimed at providing shelter to displaced industrial workers.
Kicking off the event with the press of a button, he congratulated the winning workers, who will now become homeowners of their new residences. The process excludes widows and disabled individuals, as per instructions, and emphasizes the need to complete an additional 1,872 flats for industrial workers within the next 18 months.
Maryam Nawaz also issued directives to complete a Bachelor Hostel for 700 workers at the Quaid-e-Azam Business Park in Sheikhupura within three months. She emphasised the importance of ground-floor flats to better serve specially-abled industrial workers.
In a heartfelt gesture, the Chief Minister personally called Nadeem Tahir, an industrial worker, to congratulate him and advised him to keep his parents close, attributing his success to their prayers.
