Eight Indian-backed terrorists killed in Kalat: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s security forces successfully eliminated eight terrorists linked to Indian sponsorship during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) carried out in the Kalat district of Balochistan, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Thursday.

The ISPR detailed that the operation took place on December 24, following actionable intelligence about the presence of members of Fitna al Hindustan active in the region. Security personnel launched a targeted strike on the terrorists’ hideout, resulting in an intense exchange of gunfire.

The operation culminated in the neutralization of eight militants who were allegedly responsible for numerous terrorist activities targeting both security forces and civilians in the area. Additionally, a significant stockpile of weapons, ammunition, and explosives was seized during the raid.

To ensure the area is completely secure, ongoing sanitization efforts are being conducted in the vicinity to eliminate any remaining threats and establish stability in the region.

In its statement, the ISPR reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to counterterrorism efforts under the framework of Azm-e-Istehkam. It emphasized that the nation’s armed forces are resolute in their mission to eradicate externally backed terrorism, aiming to safeguard peace and security throughout the country.
