Sindh education department announces Oxford University scholarships

KARACHI: The Sindh Education Department has introduced scholarships aimed at facilitating admissions to the University of Oxford, providing a significant opportunity for students aspiring to continue their education at one of the world’s foremost academic institutions.

These scholarships, as stated by a departmental spokesperson, are open to candidates pursuing graduate, master’s, MPhil, or doctoral-level studies. Eligibility criteria require applicants to possess a Sindh domicile and a valid national identity card.

To qualify, applicants must meet Oxford University’s rigorous merit standards and exhibit proficiency in the English language. Shortlisted individuals will be invited for interviews, following which the final selection of recipients will be determined and approved.

This initiative is a result of the recent visit to Oxford University by Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. It underscores the Sindh government’s commitment to advancing higher education and expanding international academic opportunities for students from the province.
