Gold prices in Pakistan see their first increase of 2026

KARACHI: Gold prices witnessed a sharp rise on Friday in both international and Pakistani markets after four consecutive sessions of increases.

As reported by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of 24-karat gold jumped by Rs5,700 per tola, bringing it to Rs460,262, driven by growing global demand from steady investor interest.

Additionally, the price for 10 grams of 24-karat gold saw an increase of Rs4,887, reaching Rs394,600, while 22-karat gold for 10 grams went up by Rs4,480, settling at Rs361,729.

Globally, gold prices surged by $57 per ounce, closing at $4,379. This rise highlights continued demand for precious metals amidst prevailing economic uncertainties and fluctuating currency trends.

Silver prices also followed suit. The rate for 24-karat silver per tola rose by Rs227 to Rs7,862, while 10 grams climbed by Rs195, now priced at Rs6,740.
