ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has strongly condemned statements made by Indian National Security Adviser Ajit Doval regarding “avenging history” and fostering a strong India, labeling them as irresponsible and provocative.
In a response, the spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office criticized Doval’s remarks, describing them as reflective of a mentality steeped in animosity and hostility. The spokesperson noted that such rhetoric, though unsurprising, appears to be an attempt to incite divisive ideologies and prioritize distorted historical narratives over rational policymaking.
The statement further emphasized that these views do not contribute to regional peace or stability, but rather promote provocation and intolerance.
On Saturday, during an address in New Delhi, Ajit Doval spoke about the need to “avenge history” while emphasizing the importance of building a strong and self-reliant India.
