KARACHI: Gold prices experienced a drop on Thursday following a surge in recent sessions that pushed them to record highs.
In the international bullion market, gold per ounce fell by $37, landing at $4,601.
This downward trend after a three-day hiatus also extended to local markets. In Pakistan, the price of 24-karat gold per tola declined by Rs3,700, settling at Rs482,462. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs3,172, now priced at Rs413,633.
Silver prices also witnessed a notable decline.
Silver per tola registered a drop of Rs150, bringing it to Rs9,425. The price of 10 grams of silver also fell by Rs129, now standing at Rs8,080.
