Gold prices dip slightly in Pakistan amid global decline

KARACIH: Gold prices experienced a decline in both international and domestic markets on Tuesday, whereas silver prices saw an upward trend.

In the international bullion market, gold prices fell by $15 per ounce, settling at $5,082. Reflecting this global drop, gold in Pakistan also registered a significant decrease. The price of gold per tola fell by Rs1,500, bringing it to Rs530,562, while a 10-gram gold unit recorded a reduction of Rs1,286, lowering its price to Rs416,980.

Contrasting this downward movement, silver prices showed an increase in the local market. The price per tola of silver rose by Rs212, reaching a record high of Rs11,640. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of silver experienced a rise of Rs182, now priced at Rs9,979.

According to market analysts, these mixed trends are a result of fluctuating global bullion prices combined with shifting investor sentiment.
