Armed forces prepared to defend Pakistan against all threats, asserts Field Marshal Munir

RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Bahawalpur Garrison for a comprehensive briefing on the Corps’ operational, training, and administrative activities. The discussions placed significant emphasis on preparedness for multi-domain warfare.

During the visit, he observed a high-intensity field exercise named “Steadfast Resolve” at Khairpur Tamewali (KPT). The exercise showcased an impressive integration of advanced technologies, including unmanned aerial systems, cutting-edge surveillance tools, electronic warfare capabilities, and modern command-and-control infrastructures. This demonstration underscored the military’s focus on leveraging technology to achieve multi-domain operational efficiency.

While addressing the troops, Field Marshal Munir praised their outstanding professionalism, resolute morale, and operational readiness. He reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of Pakistan’s armed forces to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity under any circumstances. He emphasized the necessity of peak preparedness to address evolving security challenges and future battlefield scenarios.

He also highlighted the significant transformation within the Pakistan Armed Forces, emphasizing that contemporary warfare has been profoundly reshaped by technological advancements. This evolution demands a complete mindset shift at all levels of command. With technology now dictating the nature of conflict, future engagements will rely heavily on technological ingenuity—transforming both offensive and defensive strategies. In response, the armed forces are rapidly embracing innovation, indigenization, and adaptability to anchor their modernization initiatives.

As part of his visit, Field Marshal Munir inaugurated the ROHI eSkills Learning Hub (STP), aimed at providing digital skill development opportunities for students, particularly those from Southern Punjab and neighboring regions. He also inaugurated the APS Abbasia Campus, reinforcing the military’s dedication to promoting quality education and character building within its communities.

Additionally, he toured the EME Regional Workshop, where he was briefed on strategies for sustaining modern defense platforms through advanced technological solutions, localized manufacturing efforts, and efficient combat support systems.

Upon his arrival at Bahawalpur Garrison, Field Marshal Munir was warmly welcomed by the Commander of Bahawalpur Corps. He paid tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs by laying a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered prayers in their memory.
