COLOMBO: Pakistan emerged victorious with a 32-run margin against the United States on Tuesday, thanks to a united team effort.
The match was largely influenced by Sahibzada Farhan’s exceptional performance, where he scored a quickfire 73 runs, laying a strong foundation for Pakistan’s innings.
After winning the toss, the USA chose to bowl first. Pakistan set a challenging total of 190 runs. In reply, the American team managed to reach 158 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted overs.
Shubham Ranjane was the top scorer for the USA, contributing a valuable 51 runs, while Shayan Jahangir added 49 to keep the chase alive. On the bowling side, Pakistan’s Usman Tariq was the most successful, taking three wickets. Shadab Khan took two wickets, and Mohammad Nawaz, Abrar Ahmed, along with Shaheen Shah Afridi, each claimed one wicket to help Pakistan seal the victory.
