Karachi police solve Rs300 million jewellery theft within 48 hours

KARACHI: Karachi Police solved a Rs300 million jewellery shop robbery in Orangi Town within 48 hours. DIG West Irfan Baloch revealed at a press conference that the heist was orchestrated by a 15-year employee of the shop, Aamir, who formed a gang of skilled workers for the crime.

The gang, including members Ameer Alam, Ali Ismail, and Riaz, planned the robbery over six months, analyzing the shop’s security. Riaz, a welder, joined to handle locks. However, CCTV footage showed locks weren’t broken but expertly opened, confirming insider involvement.

All six suspects were arrested, and police recovered stolen gold, welding machines, pistols, and tools. The Sindh interior minister commended the swift investigation and successful recovery. Further inquiries are ongoing.
