RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army has launched a large-scale cross-border security campaign titled Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq, striking dozens of suspected militant positions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan frontier, security sources said.
According to officials, coordinated strikes were carried out at around 50 locations during the night of March 3 and 4. Heavy weaponry was reportedly used to dismantle hideouts allegedly linked to cross-border attacks.
Security sources stated that the action targeted groups identified as the Afghan Taliban, Fitna al-Khawarij, and Fitna al-Hindustan. The military said these elements had been operating from bases across the border to plan and execute attacks inside Pakistan.
The operations were conducted in multiple sectors, including Qila Saifullah, Chaman, Sambaza, Ghadwana, Jani, and Ghaznali. Authorities described these areas as key transit and staging points for militant activity.
While officials claimed the strikes caused substantial losses to the targeted networks, no official casualty figures were released.
The Pakistan Army reiterated its resolve to defend the country’s territorial integrity and ensure the safety of its citizens, adding that Operation Ghazab-ul-Haq will continue until its strategic objectives are accomplished.
