QUETTA: Security forces eliminated 15 militants backed by India during two separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan
According to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The military’s media wing said the operations were carried out on March 5, 2026.
One operation took place in the Harnai District after intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants in the area. Security personnel surrounded and engaged the hideout, leading to a fierce exchange of fire in which 12 militants were killed.
In a separate intelligence-driven raid in the Basima District, troops located another group of militants. Security forces confronted them using a range of weapons, and after an intense firefight, three more militants were neutralized.
The ISPR added that weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials were recovered from the slain militants, who were allegedly involved in several militant activities.
Security forces have also launched sanitization operations in the surrounding areas to ensure no other militants remain hidden.
According to the statement, Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue their counterterrorism efforts under the initiative “Azm-e-Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan, with the aim of eradicating foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.
