KARACHI: Political and religious leaders, along with several consuls general, visited the Iranian Consulate in Karachi to express condolences over the martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei.
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah met with the Iranian Consul General and stated that Pakistan stands in solidarity with the Iranian nation following the war aggression against Iran and the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei. He added that the people of Sindh stand with Iran during this difficult time.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori described the martyrdom of Ayatollah Syed Ali Khamenei as a great loss for the Muslim world. He said future generations would remember the Iranian nation’s resistance and struggle for centuries.
Senator Raza Rabbani said the Iranian Supreme Leader was a visionary and insightful leader, adding that people of conscience around the world are deeply saddened by his martyrdom.
Meanwhile, Yang Yudong, the Consul General of China, said that U.S. policies are contributing to instability across the region. He also expressed condolences to the Iranian nation over the loss of their Supreme Leader.
The Consul General of Malaysia said that targeting the top leadership of a sovereign and independent country could lead to greater instability across the region.
