TEHRAN: Iranian President Masood Pezeshkian has set forth three vital prerequisites for a ceasefire with Israel and the United States.
Through a statement shared on social media, Pezeshkian stressed that Iran’s constitutional rights must be acknowledged, that Iran should receive compensation for damages incurred during the conflict, and that international guarantees are needed to ensure Iran’s future security against aggression.
He also highlighted that in conversations with the Russian President and the Pakistani Prime Minister, he reaffirmed Iran’s dedication to regional peace and stability.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards issued a stern warning: if Iranian ports are targeted, then ports in neighboring countries will also come under attack. They warned that no nation can avoid the current crisis and expressed a deep mistrust of enemy intentions, vowing to continue their efforts until victory is secured.
The Guards further stated that Iran’s military actions will persist and that adversaries should brace for unfavorable news. In a separate development, Pentagon officials told an American newspaper that sending warships into the Strait of Hormuz at this point would be highly dangerous.
