RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Navy warmly welcomed the People’s Liberation Army Navy ship DAQING as it arrived in port for upcoming joint bilateral exercises, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The Chinese warship is here to participate in the 4th edition of the bilateral maritime drill, SEA GUARDIAN, scheduled from March 25 to April 2, 2026.
On its arrival, the PLA (Navy) vessel DAQING was received with a ceremonial salute and was escorted into the harbor by Pakistan Navy ships, highlighting the importance of the occasion. The ISPR emphasized that the SEA GUARDIAN exercise is designed to deepen cooperation between Pakistan and China through the exchange of maritime expertise and to strengthen operational interoperability between their navies.
The upcoming drill will encompass a variety of activities, including harbor and sea-phase operations, expert seminars, discussions on contemporary maritime issues for young officers, gunnery exercises, joint patrols, and other security operations at sea. These exercises symbolize the strong camaraderie and shared dedication of both nations toward regional stability and peace.
The SEA GUARDIAN series continues to serve as a platform for fostering strategic collaboration and enhancing the maritime security environment in the region, underscoring Pakistan and China’s steadfast partnership in promoting peace and stability at sea.
