Pakistan has adequate petroleum stocks for April, authorities confirm

ISLAMABAD: During a high-level meeting on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar reviewed the nation’s petroleum reserves and was informed that current stocks are sufficient to meet domestic demand for April and the weeks ahead.

The session, which also evaluated readiness amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, concluded that supply levels remain stable. The deputy prime minister expressed satisfaction with the existing stock situation and instructed relevant ministries and authorities to maintain seamless coordination to ensure uninterrupted availability of petroleum products.

Officials were directed to implement all necessary measures to safeguard fuel supplies in the coming weeks.

The meeting was attended by the federal ministers for petroleum and economic affairs, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Bajwa, key federal secretaries, as well as chief secretaries and senior officials from the provinces.
