LAHORE: In the opening match of HBL PSL 11, Lahore Qalandars have set a target of 200 runs for Hyderabad Kings.The match is being played at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, where Lahore Qalandars won the toss and elected to bat first.
Lahore Qalandars scored 199 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs.Openers Fakhar Zaman contributed a quick 53 off 39 balls, hitting 10 boundaries.
Haseebullah Khan remained unbeaten on 40 runs, while Mohammad Naim scored 30.
The playing XI of Lahore Qalandars includes Mohammad Naim, Abdullah Shafiq, Fakhar Zaman, Provez Hossain, Haseebullah, Sandeep Raza, Asif Ali, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Mustafizur Rehman, and Obaid Shah.
Hyderabad Kings’ playing XI features Saim Eyoob, Ousmane Khan, Marouane Laabouchene, Kusal Perera, Irfan Niazi, Rizwan Mahmood, Hassan Khan, Hammad Azam, Rylee Meredith, Mohammad Ali, and Aaqib Javed.
Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Ramiz Raja, and Punjab Chief Minister Marium Nawaz also attended the opening ceremony at Gaddafi Stadium.
During the match, the PSL 11 trophy was brought onto the field by former captain Wasim Akram.
