Iran claims heavy losses for US, Israel; says multiple bases destroyed

TEHRAN: Iran’s military has claimed to have inflicted major losses on US and Israeli forces during the ongoing conflict.

The spokesperson alleged that around 800 American troops have been killed and nearly 5,000 wounded since hostilities began. In addition, Iran claimed that 1,321 Israeli soldiers have lost their lives.

According to the statement, Iranian operations have also resulted in the destruction of 17 US military bases. The spokesperson described reports of American personnel relocating to hotels as a “humiliating withdrawal” and a sign of strategic failure.

“The US military approach has failed and undermined its global standing. We will not allow American forces to withdraw until our conditions are fulfilled,” the spokesperson said.

Iran also issued a warning to Gulf countries, urging them to remove US forces from their territories. The spokesperson cautioned that failure to do so could result in further attacks on regional bases.

Additionally, the Iranian military claimed it is monitoring US personnel who have taken shelter in hotels, referring to such locations as extensions of American presence.

The statement further asserted that advanced US aircraft, including F-35 fighter jets, are no longer secure, and suggested that control over the strategic Strait of Hormuz has shifted, indicating a potential change in the regional security landscape.
