ISLAMABAD: Asif Ali Zardari and Shehbaz Sharif have extended their congratulations to Balen Shah on assuming office as Nepal’s prime minister following a decisive electoral victory.
In his message, President Zardari welcomed the rise of young leadership in the region, describing it as a positive and encouraging development. He reaffirmed that Pakistan places great importance on its longstanding relationship with Nepal and expressed hope for enhanced cooperation across multiple sectors.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also conveyed his best wishes, noting Pakistan’s commitment to its friendly ties with Nepal. He expressed optimism about working closely with the new leadership to further strengthen bilateral relations and promote shared objectives, including regional peace, stability, and economic growth.
Balen Shah secured the premiership after a significant electoral win by the Rashtriya Swatantra Party, marking a notable shift in the country’s political landscape.
