KARACHI: Renowned designer Deepak Perwani has raised concerns over the surge in crime across Karachi after revealing he has been targeted three times in the last three months.
Taking to X, Perwani shared that he was robbed at gunpoint, losing his car, motorcycle, and cash during these incidents. He emphasized that his experiences are part of a wider pattern, citing that one of his employees was burgled twice within a month, and another worker’s son was assaulted over extortion threats.
“Crime levels are soaring in Karachi, lives are at risk, and inflation continues to spiral,” he commented, highlighting the deteriorating security and economic conditions plaguing the city.
