S.WAZIRSTAN: In a troubling development, unidentified armed militants abducted six police officers, among them the Station House Officer (SHO) of Sararogha Police Station, on Wednesday, police officials confirmed.
Sources said that SHO Ahmed Shah Mehsud, accompanied by his security team gunmen Tariq, Kaleem, Abdullah Shah and driver Hazrat Umar, was on duty in the Bangewala area, tasked with ensuring security for a Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) team when the incident took place.
Additionally, two BDS personnel, Ibrahim and Abdul Razzaq, who were present at the scene, were also kidnapped by the assailants. Police reports indicate that the officers were providing protection to the BDS team during a routine security operation when they were ambushed and seized.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the abduction. Following the incident, security has been heightened in Sararogha and neighboring areas, and an investigation has been initiated to determine the motives and locate the hostages.
The current whereabouts of SHO Ahmed Shah Mehsud and the other abducted officials remain unknown, and efforts are ongoing to recover them safely.
